While drawing analysis of BOP with Peer banks' having identical branch-network shows that profitability of BOP is miles behind contemporaries yet the BOP management has ventured into PCB for GADDAFI STADIUM LAHORE to be named after BOP against a Whopping sum of RS=1.00Billion to be paid in 5 years 200M/Year.

Let's have a look at BOP's profitability vs branches network after 1H24 with peers.

Profit: PBT 7.05B & PAT 4.351B.


•Bank Al Habib (800 Branches)*

Profit PBT 40.50B & PAT 21.08B.


•Bank Al Fallah (700 Branches)*

Profit PBT 40.82B & PAT 20.60B.

THIS IS COMPLETELY AN UNWISE, UNNECESSARY,AND EXTREMELY A NONSENSICAL DECISION THROWING PRECIOUS PUBLIC MONEY AWAY ON AN UNPOPULAR GAME OF CRICKET; ALLEGEDLY TO, PLEASE PCB FOR SHAN MASOOD THE SON OF BOP PRESIDENT ZAFAR MASOOD TO STAY AS CAPTAIN.

THIS MONEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN SPENT ON BUILDING A TECHNOLOGY PARK/HOSPITAL BLOCK BUILT BY HBL AT JPMC KARACHI OR A NEW AI INSTITUTION INSTEAD OF THIS INGENIOUS MOVE.
